But HR cannot ignore such serious allegations cause if shit hits the fan the company will get roasted. So they don't take it lightly. File a complaint with the cops as well. But first get to HR.

Thanks a lot everyone for coming up to help like this. I was anxious and scared at the time when I wrote this post and wasn't sure what to do, how to feel. Even though it might feel an extreme reaction but i don't remember feeling anything close to this in my life. Many people came forward and commented their suggestions. Many people DMed me and I had long conversations, where people listened to me and help me align my thoughts. I wouldn't be able to reply to every comment in this thread. But please believe me when I say, that each of the comments has helped me get through this one step at a time. And for this I can't thank you all enough! 

I still haven't shared this my friends and family. I don't want them to be troubled because of me. But today I did went on to report this to the POSH committee of my company. I immediately got a call from the HR and she asked me to come to office. It was the HR and a senior executive of that committee who then discussed and asked some questions about it. I was repeatedly told not to take any rash decisions and wait for a response from their end as the process might take sometime. I somehow feel sceptical that they would be of any help to me, given that i don't have any proofs against him. So I planning that if in the worst case if nothing happens and i am made to continue normally, i would resign. It would be very tough to get a job in software development, given the layoffs almost everywhere and also that i had finally found a job and the product that I liked. I was hoping to work here for a long time. But then the problems I'd face in finding a new job would be much less than working with him again. In this case, I'd register a police complaint against him too. Again, it won't be much helpful to me as I don't have any proof. But atleast if he gets to know about this complaint he wouldn't try this with anyone else in the future.

I haven't been able to sleep since morning. I feel very tired and my head's hurting a lot. But i am not that anxious like i was feeling this morning. Take care and I wish the best to all of you people in your life.

There are no laws for male victims of sexual assault or molestation in India, either female-on-male or male-on-male.   


There are no laws for victims of sexual harassment at the workplace. Your company may have gender neutral policies, but since this incident was not at the workplace, I'd doubt they'd really help you. Besides, in such situations, HR generally does a lot of victim blaming for damage control.   


Other legal recourses are extremely iffy and will only cause more mental and financial trauma to you.   


This is all as far as the legal angle goes.   


You are young, and you have a lot of years ahead of you. Do not continue to work with shitty people for the sake of a job. Find a different place to stay, find a different place to work, put in your papers, and leave. It will be hard until you get all your ducks in a row once again, but it will be worth it. 

Find a good therapist and seek help to heal from this, since the legal system will be of no use to you.   


For the long term, consider writing to or meeting your local MLA and MP and ask him to seek gender-neutral amendments to sexual assault laws. Speak up for such laws in public and on social media. This will help change the system for future victims.

He started biting and scratching me like an animal, i begged, screamed and cried for help, the pain was so severe i lost my consciousness, i think this happened around afternoon, when i woke up, i was completely naked, tied and gagged and he was on his bed playing game on his phone, when i looked at the clock, it past 4:00 i felt pain everywhere on my body, he noticed me and asked me how i feel, then he untied me, when i looked at my body, i have bite marks on my chest, arms and stomach, some of the bite were deep and it penetrated my skin and bleeding, there were scratch marks too, i tried to get up but i can't so i crawled and sit by the side of the cupboard, curled up like a bal and started crying, he made fun of me for crying, i slowly got up, washed my wounds and dressed up, took my cycle and went home, i told my mom, we went to a hospital and got injection, my mom told me not to tell anyone. 

I still chat with that friend, he told me not to tell anyone about this incident, he never apologised, the trauma was so severe because after 12th, I went to 3 different colleges and i couldn't complete any because students were different characters and i felt uneasy with most of em and had panic attacks when someone touch me, my life got ruined because of him, i recently texted him saying he ruined my life and i lost 4 precious collage years, he told me it is my fault and don't chat him about this incident. My life is ruined because of him, I never cursed him, he is now abroad, he got a job and living happily, i am here suffering without any gains in my life.

Try to get some help for the trauma you experienced. I have been assaulted and the damage from that, if left unchecked, can wreak havoc in your life. I do not know you, and I hope you're resilient and you bounce back without emotional scars.

Speaking to someone who has the professional capacity to guide you through the mess might help you feel better and provide some clarity. If there's a friend/family member you trust and know would support you, please try to speak to them too.

I can totally imagine how hard this battle would have been for you, given the fact that NOBODY keeps a log of their day-to-day activities with the thought that they may have to use it as evidence to save their own ass some day in future..and you still managed to get yourself out of all the shit. 

Now, about your question on how to get back to the perpetrator..  

Keeping in mind the fact that:
- you come from a well-to-do family
- your writing skills and language tells me you have good education, and prob a decent paying job
- most likely in a country outside India( 1000’s of miles away)

So, go ahead and spend what you think is justified, and hire a good lawyer back in India, and pursue this yourself to the fullest! 

Justice has to be served, and you alone getting acquitted does not complete it, the perpetrator has to feel the brunt of their wrong doing, and has to be made to suffer, and to be realized that there are 100% consequences to your actions..

OP since you say she and her friend have forged multiple documents and since you want to file a criminal compliant, Forgery is your best bet.
Furthermore, if she has used the said forged documents as evidence and have got them marked in the previous proceedings, Perjury can also be added.

In a country where women are "considered superior" over men(which is something not so right to gender equality), the laws almost favours women because of the old suppression and their voice not being "heard". I'd say let the karma do its work, you need not ruin your life behind this one.
Do take time for yourself to come out of this traum(although it never goes away), its still better than running behind something that doesn't benefit you much but stress you more.

I feel so sad when i read this through. I genuinely feel it’s sometime a curse to be a man! 
Nobody would listen to us in such situations and it could be that the woman be chilling and enjoying life, probably with some another dude too. Ngl, this is the fear I have when i think of getting married or living in with someone. How can you trust someone? 5yrs? 10yrs? They could flip then flip your whole life out just for merely money. India is worse for equality, hell i say it’s a joke. 

I rather stay single than go deal with all the fuss; however, that does not mean i don’t trust woman but how much will i have to trust them to know that they could any day fuck my life. My ex was the love that i wanted to settle in with, covid really bought the truth out and it was clear that she couldn’t stay calm without physical touch, i’d call this hoe behaviour. Anyway, short story - i do not trust relationships anymore, took me 3 years to get over her whilst it was a month or so. Fuck it!!

OP, i hope you get your justice and I believe you should fight back even if your parents are not supportive. If i were you I’d have resorted to different measures that would probably just end my life but You definitely are very strong and I can only wish you the best and God Bless!!

Make a proper agreement before marriage and keep everything to your parents name while keeping bare minimum to yours.... Also pre decide what you give to her ,better go Dutch like she is your employee.....in this cursed world you can hardly trust anyone.... You give them chance and they will slice your throat down to the heart....don't set 50 50 if she hasn't put 50% work in... Also don't try this live-in thing, now govt has made biased for that also so basically live-in is marriage now and you have to lose your respect, 50% assets, 100% reputation from the society and you get a 1000% trauma.... Best answer-- stay away from girls who put money first even once in the relationship....better leave before this shit happens to you

Have you considered settling down for now and then trying to return your work to Bangalore to continue the fight a bit later? Is leaving your work a viable option?

You need to understand that it's very difficult to fight for cases in India so it may be difficult for your parents to fight cases on your behalf when you want retribution but they're just happy to have you back. There's not as much motivation in them as you so eventually you will have to take things in your hands but be practical while doing so. There's time on your hand so you can go a bit slow (justice is anyway quite slow).

I believe that you would have forgotten, maybe deliberately so as to not hurt yourself further, but did you see any signs prior to any of the situation going nuclear? Were there writings on the wall?
